Project “Eco Tamis (Timiš) – new tourism product” implemented under the IPA CBC Cross-border Cooperation Program Romania – Serbia was presented at the stand of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vojvodina during 44th Travel Exhibition at Budapest, Hungary from March 3rd to 6th, 2022.
The Fair was opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary, Peter Sijarto, who pointed out that the tourism fair is a very important event after the crisis, because Hungary is a country where foreign tourists like to come to. This year, too, there is growth, and as in the whole world, the results of the recovery of the tourism sector can be seen.
The Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina organized a joint stand with the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia and the Tourist Organization of Vojvodina. Over 20 exhibitors, representatives of tourist organizations and hoteliers promoted our tourist offer with the aim of connecting businessmen and presenting them at other markets.
The project “Eco Tamis (Timis) – a new tourist product” was also presented at the stand, where visitors could get acquainted with the potentials of eco-tourism in the Tamis River Valley in Romania as well as Serbia through promotional materials.
According to Mr. Branislav Mamic, Secretary of the Association of Services of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, who organized the appearance of the tourism industry of Vojvodina at the joint stand of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, the project aroused great interest of visitors. Through promo materials, a high variety of offers were presented to visitors: hiking, cycling, canoeing, sport fishing and bird watching.
He especially pointed out that the visitors were attracted by the promotional material with a QR code, which, after visiting the fair, provides complete information on both the Project and the eco-tourist offer at specific locations in the Tamis River Valley.
He expressed satisfaction with the started cooperation and the expectation that it will continue in the next period.
