IPA Project „Eco Tamiš (Timiš) – new tourism product“ presented in Novi Bečej

Continuing the established cooperation between the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BKIK) and the Regional Chambers of Commerce from Vojvodina in the premises of the Information Office of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BKIK) in Novi Becej, a second meeting was held on February 3, 2022. to discuss common interests and directions of future cooperation.

 

It was stated that the two sides can significantly contribute to the improvement of economic cooperation between the two countries by organizing business meetings (B2B) of companies from Hungary and Serbia, as well as to enable interested companies to perform at fairs under more favorable conditions.

Also, the implementation of joint projects funded by the Republic of Hungary and available European Union programs is an important area of action in which successful cooperation can be achieved, especially in employment, infrastructure, education, culture, tourism, environmental protection etc.

As an example of successful implementation of cross-border cooperation projects, the representative of the RCCI of the South Banat Administrative District, member if the roject team, introduced the participants to the project “Eco Tamis (Timiš) – new tourism product” implemented under the IPA CBC Cross-border Cooperation Program Romania – Serbia, funded by the European Union pre-accession assistance (IPA II) and co-financed by the participating countries.

Participants of the meeting were introduced to the experiences gained during the project, which can be used and applied in preparation as well as cooperation and implementation of joint projects under the Interreg IPA CBC Cross-border Cooperation Program of Hungary and Serbia and connecting with similar projects implemented in cross-border cooperation programs of the neighbouring countries (Croatia, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, etc.).
