UniAdrion has developed a FORA database that includes all INTERREG projects from the programming period 2014-2020, where members of three forums (UniAdrion – Forum of Universities and Research Centers of the Adriatic-Ionian Region, Forum AIC – Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chamber of Commerce; FAIC – Forum of Ionian Adriatic cities) had the role of main or project partner. This research was conducted on the basis of data obtained from the official website of the European Commission, in order to identify the expertise of forum members and to intervene in consultations with the European Territorial Cooperation (ETC) 2021-2027 and incorporation into EU programs for the Adriatic-Ionian region. The project “Eco-Tamis (Timis) – a new tourism product” attracted the attention of the European Commission and managing authorities and was selected as the most suitable for the initiative connected to the European Strategy of the Adriatic-Ionian Region (EUSAIR) to include project contributions and priorities in new European programs. territorial cooperation.
During the focus group, experiences from various EU cooperation programs were shared, a discussion was held on the implemented projects and the importance of the results achieved. The conclusions of the focus group provided guidance on improving the existing EUSAIR strategy (ie Strategic projects, which will be developed under the regular programming and program ETC 2021-2027.
