Project “Eco Tamiš (Timiš) – a new tourist product” at the 43rd Nautical, Hunting and Fishing Fair in Belgrade

The project “Eco Tamiš (Timiš) – a new tourist product” was presented at the stand of PIMI doo, Belgrade during the 43rd Nautical, Hunting and Fishing Fair in Belgrade held from April 6 to 10, 2023.

The fair was officially opened by State Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Youth Uroš Kandić and Slavoljub Arsenijević, Undersecretary in the Secretariat for Economy and Tourism  of Vojvodina.

Kandić presented the “Sail throgh Serbia” project that the Government of Serbia started and pointed out that this year will be the year of investment in navigation infrastructure. The “Sail through Serbia” project is worth around 28 million euros and aims to completely unify all Serbian nautical potentials into one joint product.

IPA Cross-border cooperation project Romania – Serbia “Eco Tamis (Timiš) – New tourism product” was also presented this year at the stand of the company PIMI doo from Belgrade, from which a catamaran for navigation on the Tamis was purchased during the implementation of the project. The cooperation with the company PIMI doo was continued in order to promote eco-tourism in the best way and enrich the tourist offer, not only on Tamis but also on the network of the Danube-Tisa-Danube canal, which together makes unique system, which provides the possibility of developing eco-tourism on in the entire area of Vojvodina.

Through promotional material and a promotional film, visitors had the opportunity to get to know the potential of eco-tourism for hiking, bird watching, cycling, sport fishing and rowing in the Tamis river valley in both Romania and Serbia, which they can adapt to their individual needs and wishes.
